Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been housebound. With nowhere to go, the kids are spending a lot of time glued to their gadgets. Taking a break from the family and home, I went to pick up some indoor games for my son. I saw a poor lady at the store and her son looking at all the toys with desire and amazement, but couldn’t afford to buy anything. As I was about to leave with my purchases, they entered the shop and asked for the cheapest toy gun.
The shopkeeper quoted a price which was 25% less than the actual price doing his bit of charity. As soon as I saw this, my heart melted, and I told him to give them the toy gun and include the cost in my bill. They didn’t thank me in their innocence and happiness, but I was too happy to mind.
Takeaway
If nature has given us the opportunity to give, we must pass it on.
