Every morning, I am running to get ready and get to the office on time. It is difficult for my wife too, as she has to prepare breakfast, my lunch box and also needs to get to work. We both meet at dinner and that too if we return on time. Currently, the lockdown has meant that we both work from home. Two of our rooms have become our independent offices, and we both carry out our official work and conduct virtual meetings independently without disturbing each other. Even now our office timings are such that we have our food at different times. Last week, I decided that I should wait for my wife to finish her work so that we both can have our lunch together. If I get late, I ensure she has had her lunch on time, without waiting for me. I don’t know whether she has noticed this, but I have been mindful about doing it. I have been able to spend more time with her now. I also feel it has removed a small pang of unknown guilt that was within me when I was having my breakfast alone and rushing to the office before the pandemic.
