Ten years ago, I financially supported a child, Sanjay Kisku, hailing from a remote village in the Godda district, Jharkhand through World Vision India. He belonged to an impoverished family. He had completed his 12th-grade exams and enrolled in a vocational course. Once he grew up and started working, he didn’t need my support anymore. Sanjay sent me a hand made a card with a note after completing his education.
Later, I again started supporting a child named Chatish from the same area, which is very impoverished and backward. It is very satisfying to see him go to school and work towards a positive future. I keep getting updates about his progress and get a chance to wish him on his birthdays. I am so grateful for this opportunity.
Any small effort to educate a child who can’t otherwise afford to do is very satisfying.
