It cold and winters are around the corner, ready to stop by for a few months. It is usual that during the start of winters carpet sellers visit homes with carpets. One such seller came to our house and showed us the rugs he had for sale. They were of good quality, but the design was not what we had in mind. I asked the person if he would like a drink of water, tea or breakfast just as we ask everyone who visits us. He humbly refused.
I was sorry that we couldn’t buy what he was selling and when he was about to leave, I packed a few apples and handed it over to him. He was he refused them in the beginning, but then eventually accepted the fruit. His smile made my day.
Even the smallest act of kindness has a big impact.
