A few days ago, on my way back from my workplace, I stopped at a mango vendor’s shop to buy some mangoes. Suddenly an old, poor lady with torn clothes caught my attention. She was walking very slowly and was begging. I noticed that one leg was covered with a blood-stained polythene, and it was tough for her to walk. Her feet were bare.
I questioned the vendor about her, but he had no information about that lady. I called a rickshaw and took her to a shop to buy footwear for her. She told the shopkeeper that in the morning, a pin went into her left foot. Wearing the footwear gave her protection and put a smile on her face.
That was a magic moment for me.
Her happy face gave me joy.
