Last week while buying groceries, I repeatedly saw a familiar roadside beggar asking for money or food. I usually give me a little money. But this was the first time I noticed his response in an ‘act of kindness’ way.
After I had given him a little money, for which he was happy, I struggled to keep my two bags full of groceries on my bike. The beggar noticed my struggle, and he offered to help me settle the bags in a way that I could drive home safely. I was astonished by the kind gesture of the person, and immediately I felt so happy. I remembered that what you give is what you get in turn.
I was happy to be kind to him and see him reciprocate.
