A new house has been under construction, diagonally opposite our home, for the past few months. The owners have appointed a watchman to look after the things at the site. A small room has been built temporarily for him to stay. He does not have much with him, and in the rainy season, it is cold, and the ground becomes wet. Yet he seems to be managing.
My grandmother saw this and told me about his situation. We gave him a few clothes which were in good condition, a large carpet/mat for him to sleep on and some utensils for him to cook. The joy and happiness on his face cannot be expressed in words. I felt that we have not done much. But later he came and told me that he was really in need of these things and thanked me profusely.
