In my daily acts of kindness, I have observed that some make you feel really worthwhile. Around my hospital, I watch homeless kids begging for food and money every single day. I offer them food and also pay enough so they can get through a day.
The past few days, I observed that most of them walked barefoot, even though the heat was scorching. I was so shocked to see that and almost felt guilty for not having noticed this earlier. Now, whenever I see kids barefoot, I make sure to take them to nearby footwear shops and buy them a pair of slippers. It is such a joy to see those innocent faces happy after wearing brand new slippers on their tired feet.
I look forward to doing it again and again.
