I live in an apartment with my flatmates from different countries. We all of us come from different cultures and way of living which is sometimes not suitable, even annoying, to each other. Some of us are lazy enough to maintain the cleanliness in the apartment, which is one of the most common problems in a shared apartment.
So, when I encounter any type of negative emotions towards my flatmates, then I become aware of my feelings and observe my thoughts and try not to identify myself with those emotions without fighting with thoughts. Luckily, I managed to maintain an excellent relationship with other flatmates and avoided conflict with them daily.
Good relations helps me to maintain a peaceful environment in my apartment, which eventually helps all of us to live well, especially when we are locked-down due to Corona Virus pandemic.
This mental exercise is so simple yet so effective with amazing results.
