With New York under lockdown, my younger daughter is stranded in her university dorm with just about 18 students. Fresh food is hard to come by. She cooks with whatever she has available but has run out of supplies. So she ordered online for food supplies from an Indian store. After a ten-day wait, the delivery arrived with only a fraction of what she had ordered, as they had run out.
My older daughter lives alone in Philly. She promptly went to a local store, braved the long queue as the store was handing orders in limited quantities, and was able to purchase some food items, all of which she sent via courier to NY.
My daughters are older now, and while their rivalry may continue, they are there for one another, and that makes me proud.
