The organization I work for as a volunteer had to cancel future yoga and meditation classes due to the current situation. The organizers are overseas and requested me to put the notice up in the centers where the classes were held. I didn’t mind, so I printed out the announcements and went there after work.
As I was walking towards the center, I noticed that the headlights of a red car were on. There were other cars parked there as well. The thought of someone getting stuck with a flat battery made me a bit concerned.
As I entered, I noticed that martial art classes for children were on, and the mothers were sitting and waiting. I was wondering what to do about the car – there were many people and I didn’t really have a clear idea about what to do next. For a minute I did think I should put up the flier and leave. But then I decided to ask the lady closest to the door if the red car belonged to her. She said yes, and I told her about the headlights. She quickly went to switch them off, thanking me profusely. She asked me how I knew that it was her car, and I told her that she happened to be the first person I asked! The relief on her face was reflected in my heart, and I left the place feeling at peace.
