A friend of mine fell sick with a chest infection and fever. She is a single mom with two teenagers, and I knew that one more pair of hands would be appreciated. So when she saying she was sick, I placed an order for her favorite soup – because I am not a great cook – and also told her I would send across some medication that worked well for my family and me.
Her younger daughter came to pick up the stuff from my place. The look on her face – thank you for caring for us – was more than enough to fill my heart. I might have sent them warm soup, but I was the one who felt warm inside.
