We were at a book store when a lady with her young children came to buy books. As she was leaving, she asked the cashier, “How many copies of the book have been sold?” He replied five. She walked away from him, a little disappointed.
As soon as she walked away, I asked the cashier, “Did she write a book? Which one is it?” He showed me a beautifully illustrated book to teach children about the art of giving!
We decided to buy it for my seven-year-old cousin. As the author was in the coffee shop next door, I decided to ask her to sign the book too. She wrote a beautiful note and was so excited to sign the book! We’d bought the sixth copy of it. More than her, the sense of pride in her children’s eyes warmed our hearts.
