It was a cold afternoon. After lunch, I went for a cup of coffee on the university campus with two of my colleagues. While relishing the hot coffee, we saw some stray dogs. One of the dogs was scratching vigorously and had no hair left on its body. The others were beginning to show signs of the same illness.
We photographed the dogs and consulted a veterinary doctor. He prescribed some medicines and asked us to put the tablets in jalebi and feed it to the dogs. We couldn’t find jalebis, so we powdered the tablets and sprinkled over bananas. However, the dogs just sniffed the banana. We had to try something else! So, we scooped out the medication along with some banana pieces and sandwiched it between Monaco biscuits, which the dogs promptly gulped. Mission accomplished!
