I feel life is in the details. What may be a small thing to us might be a huge thing for someone else.
This evening I bought a loaf of bread and some butter and made simple sandwiches. Having decided to give it to some hungry person, my sister and I drove out and finally came across this little girl at a red signal who was selling balloons. When we offered her the sandwich, the little girl asked my sister while showing us the butter, “Didi, yeh kya hai? (Sister, what’s this?). We explained to her what that was. That little girl’s innocent smile just made my day.
This incident brought tears to my eyes and made me reflect on how sometimes we never appreciate or feel content about what we have or what we have achieved. This child, however, who didn’t know of something as simple as butter was so happy – like she got something priceless.
Takeaway
Learn to value even the smallest things in life.
