I, along with a few friends, wanted to support a young budding yoga instructor who had just arrived in Australia. It was a mutually beneficial situation where the teacher would be able to set up her own business and thereby support her family, and we would have the opportunity to learn from a young, disciplined and experienced ( 900 hrs of yoga practice)teacher.
A few friends did have the space big enough to accommodate all of us. But since the only time agreeable to all was 7.30 am, everyone seemed to be hesitant about committing, as it would mean disturbing the family members on a Sunday morning. I decided to help out. We formed a small group of 5 ladies, and I cleared up my home to make space for everyone to be comfortable during the session. Every Sunday morning, I ensure that I have a welcoming home. I arrange for tea, hot yummy breakfast and spend time in harmony and joy after the yoga session. We also celebrate birthdays together. I believe the smiles on everyone’s face gives all of us the enthusiasm to carry on for the coming week.
All ladies look forward to the Sunday session. We are fitter, we spend time with each other and sometimes go for long walks after our yoga session.
I have committed to having the sessions at my home for at least a year. It gives me pleasure to share my house to support our yoga instructor until the time she sets up her studio, which I am sure she will.
I feel grateful to the Divine and blessed to be able to support someone so talented.
Takeaway
Help out if you can, don’t hesitate and never miss out on an opportunity.
