It was not till a day before this October Navratri that I’d decided to do the Nava Durga Sadhana. The evening before 17th October, I went to the market to buy materials for my nine days sadhana.
On my way back, my hands were already full and had a little more than 200 rupees left in my pocket. It was already dark, and I passed by a bus stop near the market. I noticed a lady sitting with a worried and helpless expression with her fruits to sell. I turned back, sat down next to her and purchased oranges and apples from her. I was touched by the care with which she carefully chose the fruits for me. Leaving the remaining change with her, I made up my mind that these fruits would be part of my diet over the the next nine days.
As I finished my purchase and walked ahead, it occurred to me that the divine everywhere.
