My grandfather stays in our village while we live in the city. Recently, my grandfather started suffering from severe asthma attacks. My father took care of him and got himself quarantined along with him, to ensure that we all stay safe unless my grandfather tested negative for COVID.
People kept saying that he would not survive.
Fortunately, he tested negative, so my father brought him to our house in the city. It gave me an opportunity to personally take care of him, as he was unable to move, had difficulty in breathing and suffered from fatigue, ensuring that my father too got some rest.
It has been three weeks since he came here. He has improved tremendously. His haemoglobin became better; he started walking, interacting, and more importantly, he’s happier now. In addition, I got to know him better.
We should always make the choice to be kind.
