This lovely cat came into my life last year, the result of my 17-year-old son’s kitten rescue mission. It was as if another baby has come into my life. Coco is more attached to my son and is always around him, but for some reason, in the mornings, Coco always needs me, like a child that needs the mother as soon as he/she wakes up. She comes and sits on my tummy, facing me, and communicates with me in a language only she and I understand.
Every morning, even as I think that I should begin my yoga/kriya/meditation session, Coco comes, purrs and sleeps on me. My heart doesn’t allow me to disturb her while she sleeps, and that messes up my schedule. I don’t know if it is an act of kindness from her to me or from me to her 🙂 but these 20 odd minutes with her are such a blessing for me, something that words can’t explain. I sometimes feel it is worth more than anything else life has to offer. I am so grateful to have Coco in my life. She teaches me about love, gratitude and kindness every day.
