The times are difficult, especially for migrant workers. A pregnant lady would come to me for check-ups, but she would never come on the date assigned or get the routines tests or scans done as advised. On her last visit, for which she arrived about two weeks late, she told me she was going back to UP for the delivery. When I asked her if she was taking her medicines regularly, she hesitated to reply. She told me that her husband was not getting any regular work, so she on took the medication for a few days. I didn’t have any sample medicines with me. So I gave her some money. She refused, but I told her that it was important that she buys the medicines and takes them regularly.
I hope she has a safe pregnancy and delivery.
Takeaway
Let’s do our little bit in these difficult times.
