Having survived 160 days of the lockdown without any house help, from 1st September, we reinstated our previous helper for cleaning our home.
I noticed that despite being in grave need of employment, the lady reverted to her old ways and did the work in a lackadaisical manner.
I would probably have been upset with her in the past for the same thing, but this time, I did not utter a single bitter word to her. I told myself that she might be tired or disturbed etc. and ended up redoing some of the work she had done.
The lockdown has made me very patient, and I have learnt to put myself in the other person’s shoes.
Contemplation leads to patience.
