Often we hear ourselves blaming others or ourselves for the problems that we face In our lives. I am sure in extreme cases; even God can hear us grunting and cursing.
Yesterday, I was listening to a relative pouring her heart out about the ill health her grandchild was facing since birth. That we live in a disconnected world became apparent to me during her narrative because sometimes access to credible information is not available, and even if available, it is not disseminated by professionals. This callousness and neglect led to the outcome faced by the child. Although it’s too late to act now, it’s necessary to dispel ignorance, guilt and anger to dispel the pain felt by the persons involved.
She felt relief from decade-old feelings of guilt and pain when I listened to her, shared information and provided clarity. I felt that I had fulfilled my purpose as a healer. I am thankful that this platform and connect has provided me with strength and clarity to be a peace advocate.
Acknowledgement of pain and suffering is first step to healing.
