He looked at me, wanting some food and sniffing around for some crumbs on the sparse ground just when I gobbled up a meal filler! COVID-19 has affected the work hours at the hospitals and the number of people feeding the dependent stray dogs. I bought a bun and broke it into four pieces. As I fed the dog, I was reminded of the three types of eaters – dog, lion and cow from the book The Wellness Sense written by Om Swami. I wanted to experiment with the act of pausing while feeding. The dog, true to its nature, was anxious and started gulping down the piece of bun. Instead of placing the four parts of the bun in front of him, I gave it one at a time and was surprised that there was no rush from the dog. It seemed as though he was reassured that there was more food on its way.
Action with awareness creates harmony.
