It all started when I was taking a walk in the park nearby. A child coming from the front dropped a paper. I suddenly became aware of his action and after thinking for a moment, I called out to him and asked him to pick it up and throw in the dust bin. He came unwillingly and did what I asked and left with his mom, who was ready to go. But this triggered something inside d me , and I looked around and saw lots of piece of paper, plastic bags, wrappers, etc. I kept on walking and thinking about it for a long time. While something inside called out to me to clean the area, I hesitated.
Finally, I told myself that I must clean the area; else, it would mean all the teachings in my life are useless. And so I started picking litter all alone. No one came forward to help. Some people did thank me, though.
Don’t hesitate to do what our inner voice tells us we must do.
