In the morning, I go daily to the roof of my house to check the water tank. Yesterday, I saw a pigeon lying there, entangled with a thread in its neck, which is used to fly kites on the 15th of August. It looked almost dead to me. But a thought crossed my mind, to at least try and remove the thread. I did it gently as it had encircled its neck tightly and was bleeding. As soon as the thread was removed, the bird started to move. I took it home and put some turmeric on the wound. Placing her gently on the boundary of the balcony, the bird didn’t take a second to fly away. The whole act gave me immense satisfaction.
