An old and dear friend from college lives in San Francisco while her parents live in Delhi. A few days back, she lost her husband in an accident. Despite the enormous personal tragedy, she was worried about her parents, who had to move house. So I went to meet them, offered to organize the moving and take care of any other problem they had. My friend was tremendously relieved, and that made me feel happy. I could not help her deal with her painful loss because she is so far away, but at least I could lessen her worry about her parents.
Worry and anxiety can be diminished with action.
