When I was in college, my friends and I went to nearby idli (steamed dumplings)stall, during our break. We placed our order, and while we were waiting for the dish to arrive, an old lady came towards us and asked me for some money. I didn’t have any extra money to give her, so I asked her, “Are you hungry?” She replied, “Yes.” I told the owner of the stall to give my dish of food to her instead.
On seeing this, the owner gave me another plate of idli and told me that it was his way of showing appreciation for my kind act and humanity.
I wonder why the owner didn’t give the older woman the plate of food in the first place. If you have the answer, let me know.
Thank you ?

We are enriched when we share our food with another.
