I was on the way back to my home at my bike. Suddenly I saw that the button on my helmet’s strap was not functioning correctly. It was unsafe to drive with it undone. So I decided to make it repair on the way. I found a cobbler near a pedestrian zone.
I requested him to repair my helmet strip and button. It was dusk, so it was a little hard for him to fix it with only the help of street lights. But he instantly picked it and started repairing it very diligently. After finishing, I asked him his labour charges, and he demanded just ten rupees for work that had taken around 10-20 minutes. I was surprised at the negligible amount for his skill and the material used to repair. I know it was small, and I decided to pay him an amount that I felt was appropriate, which was much more. I gave him the money and told him that it was well deserved.
I saw a beautiful smile on his face, and that made my day.
Sometimes paying the appropriate sum gives you happiness.
