This incident happened six years ago. One day, I was purchasing fruits from a vendor near my office during lunch break. A little boy, probably five/ six years old, came to me and begged me for some money. I clearly told him that I would buy him some fruits but not hand over any money to him. The mother of the boy, weak and pregnant, came up to me and requested me to buy some flour to make roti( Indian bread) instead of fruits.
I withdrew some money from the nearby ATM and bought her a pack of 10 kg wheat flour and a bottle of cooking oil. She was all smiles and very happy to get these items and blessed me.
I felt very calm and joyful despite missing my lunch as I was delayed.
It’s only by God’s grace that you are capable of helping someone.
