I have started going out for my walks from the last two weeks, and I have noticed some small street vendors looking haplessly around for customers. I usually avoid carrying any currency on my walks, but I had taken some money to buy veggies from the local vendor. Before entering a park, a balloon vendor, who was on his bicycle, approached me and requested to buy something, saying, “Boni nahi hui.” I gave him a 100 and said, “Aap ki boni ke liye.” He insisted that I take some balloons, but I smiled, asking him to carry this kindness forward.
I got another opportunity to feed a homeless man. He approached me and pointed at the bananas that a vendor was selling. I asked the seller to give him six bananas, but he insisted that he just needed two. His persistent request for just two bananas despite being hungry brought a smile to my face. I gave him the packet and saw him sitting on the pavement joyfully eating the bananas.
Every Rak, however small, makes a difference.
