After being with the company for more than nine years, my manager decided to opt for early retirement. He hadn’t been very happy with the management, and we all understood his situation. I was happy that his decision would not impact his financial situation.
My boss likes Indian food, so I thought of taking him some homemade food for lunch, this being his last week at work. When I offered the lunch pack to him, he was pleasantly surprised and thanked me with enthusiasm. Post lunch, besides emailing me, he came over to let me know how much he enjoyed and appreciated having the tasty lunch dishes. The lunch put him in a happy mood all day. It was not a big deal for me; I had taken whatever I cooked at home. Bringing a smile to his face made me happy.
It doesn’t require much effort to share happiness, I thought.
Sharing is caring and can make a difference to someone’s day.
