On occasion of Navami, as planned, I visited the hostel for the mentally challenged boys (or as I call them, ‘God’s special children’). These children are from far off villages, dropped off by the parents who are unable to take care of them.
As a part of regular RAK, my friend Dr Kamayani and I provide monthly groceries needed for these children who are about 40 in number.
On Dussehra, this hostel is not easily accessible due to the massive rush on Dikshabhoomi. So, I decided to prepone the Dusshera celebration and visited them.
We gave all the snacks and sweets to their teacher and caretaker, who herself is a cancer survivor. Few of them greeted us shyly and thanked us too. Their teacher thanked us profusely with Dusshera wishes. With a promise to see them soon, I returned with a grateful heart.
Spread happiness 😀
