Prachu and I have been friends for the last 16 years since the time we were students. Many things have changed in our lives. She had gone through a very bad divorce and she had shared her experiences with me. I had shifted from the place after my marriage and we were miles apart. I haven’t seen her since 2010. We sometimes exchange messages and if we both have some spare time, we call each other. However, Prachu has ensured that we remain in touch.
Recently I yelled at Prachu (over the phone) for some reason which I considered to be serious. She didn’t say a word while I disconnected the phone. Later I covered my guilt with all the possible reasons which occurred to me. However to earn some RAK points and to show how big my heart was, I decided to call her on her birthday (I generally forget her birthday and call her on some odd days of the same month).
To my surprise, Prachu called me on Diwali and wished me. She didn’t mention a single word about the incident. I was taken aback by her gesture. I thanked ….. well I don’t know whom to thank?
When I think about it, I feel I have experienced the sweet potion of kindness from a dear friend. She filled my heart with sweetness on the occasion of Diwali. This is the best gift from a dear friend.
Life becomes so beautiful when you have beautiful & kindful friends around you
