During this pandemic, medical personnel, the police, etc have been hailed as heroes and warriors. One such group of heroes, here in Qatar, were the delivery teams of grocery stores and restaurants, and delivery services like the Talabat and many others similar to them.
In the scorching summer heat, these people relentlessly ride their low powered bikes, making their way through speeding Land Cruisers and other cars, literally putting their lives at risk. At the end of the day. they are paid a mere pittance. Every time you place an order using these delivery services, a small commission goes to the delivery boy.
On talking to a few delivery boys, I came to know of their plight. I decided that I would generously tip the delivery boy for every delivery. In this way, I can help and support them a little and restore their faith in humanity.
