Two months ago, a friend of mine lost her husband. It happened just one year after her marriage. She is only 23 years old. I don’t know how to console her. We have not been in touch for some time, and today I called to ask her about herself. She was very sad but was trying to hide her pain. I tried my best to make her feel good and console her. A few minutes after we hung up, she messaged to thank me and said that our conversation had made her feel a little better.
I felt very remorseful for not calling her earlier, but at the same time, I also felt a great deal of gratitude for making that call. ?
Takeaway
Our little thoughtful acts make a difference to people, so just keep doing them.
