The other day I was in the waiting area of a hospital. I had been waiting to see the Doctor for more than an hour, and I had a flight to catch. So I was a little anxious that I would miss the flight. While I was in this thought, an Uncle who was 70+ came and sat next to me. I felt he needed to chat and was looking forward to talking to someone. Although I would rarely start a conversation randomly, then I was reminded of Raks. So I went ahead and started to chat and the next 20 mins were beautiful exchange about weather, family and pollution and traffic as well. Uncle had severe arthritis problem but his zest and attitude were so amazing and inspiring. Those 20-25 mins passed like a breeze and uncle was happy chatting with someone. And then I was left wondering, who did Rak for whom? We are givers and recipient at the same time, the circle of life. Thanks, Black Lotus for making us to be mindful to not miss these little joys of life.
Kindness is the twin sister of mindfulness. It’s impossible to be kind when you are mindful.
