Every day while doing my regular cycling workout, I go through the airport, which is near to my residence. Today, while I was returning a poor man also on his cycle, stopped me and asked, “Can I see an aeroplane before I go back to my village?” I inquired about his whereabouts. He had come from a village about 100 km from Nagpur. He was working in a small factory in Nagpur. But due to COVID-19, the factory owner told him he could not continue to work because of his age. So he was returning to his village on his bicycle. But he had a dream – to see an aeroplane from a close distance.
I was moved by his condition. I took him along to a spot from where he could see not just the aeroplane but the take-off and landing also. Then I went on my way. Just the idea of being able to watch a plane fly at a close distance filled his eyes with joy.
I thank God for giving me this opportunity to bring happiness in someone’s life.
Happiness lies in the smallest of things that we must be able to take and enjoy.
