It has been a few months since I wrote my last post. Oh well, like they say, better late than never.
I was taking my usual morning walk yesterday. Unless I have an early morning customer call, I consistently go walking every day. I saw a newspaper boy coming towards me on his motorcycle. Remaining seated on his bike, he was throwing the morning’s newspaper towards the gate of a house a few feet away from where I was walking. I realized that he didn’t want to get off his bike at every home. Fortunately for him, the newspapers landed right in front of the gate. I offered to toss the newspaper inside the gate to save him the trouble of getting off. He thanked me with a big smile and drove away. I picked up the papers, tossed them over the gate and walked away.
While I was walking, I wondered why I did what I did. I found I had no clear straightforward answers, except that I am compassionate.
Takeaway
We all are inherently kind and compassionate beings.
