My elder son was playing soccer with his friends, and there were other groups of children playing the game as well. Suddenly a teenager fell down and was unconscious for a few seconds. My son saw that, called out to his friends, all of whom were confused about what to do. They didn’t have the child’s parents numbers, nor did they have a clear idea of what to do next. My son called 911, and while waiting for the ambulance and the child’s parents came, my son and his friends did give the boy some basic first aid. The boy soon regained consciousness.
The group of friends let the boy’s parents know what they witnessed and promptly went back to their game.
My son later told me that the entire group felt really happy that they could be of help.
Kindness is doing what you can wherever you are with whatever resources you have.
