My father, who is in his late 70s, is visiting Delhi on work. He needed to travel some distance for a meeting and decided to call an Uber. The Uber driver, who eventually reached, turned out to be an old Sardarji who was struggling with the app. Nonetheless, my father hopped into the car. I didn’t think twice about it.
Later that evening, when my father returned, he exclaimed how I saved that Sardarjis life. I did not understand what he meant. My father made me recall how the previous night, I had made a digestive churan of ajwain and rock salt, placed it in a little container and insisted he keeps it with him at all times in case of digestive issues. It is the monsoons, and I was mindful of his age and health.
My father went on to describe how mid journey the old Sardarji started burping and making strange noises and faces, so much so that he had to stop the car in an emergency. Hearing him in pain, not knowing what else he could do, my father immediately pulled out the churan; gave him a large dose, asking him to chew slowly, hoping it could relieve him. Eventually, he felt better and returned to his normal state. He profusely thanked my father and said he saved him! My father, in turn, said he was scared as he was alone in the taxi and that it was a miracle that the churan helped the Sardarji and thanked me for the same.
I was in awe because I don’t have that churan at all and had made it mindfully and insisted my father keep it with him. I also told my father it was his kindness that he shared it with the Sardarji. Then I explained to him what RAKS are and what Black Lotus is about.
I owe it to this awesome app; thank you Swamiji and Mother Divine.
A simple mindful act turned into an act of kindness which led to a such a wonderful outcome!
