Yesterday, I visited a local general store. This shop has the usual items like groceries, snacks, chocolates, toys, etc. There was a young boy in the store with his father, and it was fun to watch the child excited at seeing the goodies on display around him. I also noticed his father’s patience, allowing him to take some items and gently telling him that they were enough for this visit. The boy became more joyful when I spontaneously gifted him a football from the shop. His father wanted to pay for the ball but I told him, in all honesty, that the pleasure was all mine.
The joy of a child rubs off on you too.
