We all love ice creams, don’t we? It all happened one day when my family stopped by to buy some kulfis (an Indian version of ice cream) on a hot afternoon.
Two beautiful little girls came up to us asking for a kulfi each. Naturally, we treated both of them. The happiness on their faces had no bounds. Just a couple of minutes later, three more children appeared from nowhere, and they were treated too.
We realised they all lived in a cluster of homes with approximately 60-70 residents. At the end of that hour, there were happy faces all around, each holding a kulfi in their hands. Now, it’s become a habit that I treat them whenever I can. This way, the ice cream vendor gets some business too.
We all don’t think about spending a few hundred rupees when we treat ourselves to a good movie, meal, and many other things. We can definitely spare a fraction of that amount on treating the underprivileged with some ice cream a few times in the summer and bring a smile to their faces.
Believe me, it costs nothing; rather, you gain happiness.
We all deserve to be happy.
