A coconut is tough from the outside; however, soft and sweet from the inside. So is my older sister. Since childhood, I have seen her correcting or scolding people. In addition, I have seen her as a devotee of all gods.
Today, we sat in a mall to have coffee. I saw a new side to my sister when she noticed the eyes of the waitress who brought our coffee. She asked her why she had been crying. The girl became emotional. My sister told her, “I don’t know the reason, but trust me, whatever is bothering you will pass, and you will be fine.”
After joining the Defense Services, I thought my sister had forgotten how to be compassionate towards others. Because care, love and compassion are easy when it comes to our loved ones, but not strangers.
After that, I saw tears in my sister’s eyes, and I could see my sister felt the pain of a stranger. After a long time, I saw a compassionate side to my sister.
Takeaway
Don’t be quick to judge someone who appears tough as a coconut – they could be soft-hearted.
