Last week of April, I got a call from my clinic that one of our patient, Mr Kaurav, was crying unconsolably. I rushed to my clinic to find out why. He was our old patient with a very weak heart (his heart pumping only 15-20%).
It so happened that while travelling on the train, he allowed a well-dressed lady to sit besides him. Before getting down at Nagpur, he checked his pocket and was shocked to find that all of his Rs 5500 were gone. He was pretty sure she was the culprit.
When he came to clinic, he had been hungry for almost 15 hours and had no money to eat food or drink tea. He kept crying loudly and saying that his son would not believe him. We convinced him that everything will be fine and sent him for lunch. ?
Then, he was not ready for his check up, but we convinced him that we will not charge him even a penny. His vitals were all raised (blood pressure and pulse were high) and heart was pumping low. He was very anxious about his journey back and medicines, since he was out of them completely.
I sent one of my staff to get his medicine for 3 months. They were not available at the store so we decided to give him medicine for one month and buy him rest later, a return ticket and dinner. While leaving the clinic with tears of gratitude, he just said , ‘For me you are Maa Bhagwati’, and insisted on touching my feet and left with a promise to call us back.

That day my happiness was different. ?
There is enough for everyone to share. ?
