Pavan was silent while giving me a haircut here in Hyderabad. On the other hand, I am plagued with a habit of talking to anyone, anywhere – on a bus or train, while walking or even waiting at the airport. Breaking the silence, I asked him about his family members. Proudly he told me about his two daughters. After that, he shared other details about his family members and his struggles. After hearing about his daughters, I asked him if he knew about the Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme. Since he had no idea, I explained a little about this scheme launched by the government, specifically for the better future of girl children. I offered my help to him to open the account and make the first credit of Rs 500 from my side. Somehow he got both intrigued and interested by this offer. He agreed to start the process and make the Aadhar Card for his daughter. By now, we both were enjoying each other company. I enjoyed the haircut and could sense his extra interest in the process.
So much so the discussion cropped up again during my next visit after about 25 days. Finally, after about two months, he could open the Sukanya Samriddhi account for his elder daughter, and as promised, I happily transferred the amount. Coincidently this happened on 01 Jan 2023. During the last six months, three such accounts have been opened. I see it not as a matter of transaction of some amount but much more beyond it. The account will remain for a very long time, and the seed of the account (the first credit) is from a disciple of Om Swami. It makes me very happy to do such acts, and the credit goes entirely to Black Lotus.
