Today was one of those days when I had no certainty of having breakfast. I am running out of money, plus I had no energy or enthusiasm to cook something in the morning. So I just started off with work.
I suddenly heard a crying sound outside my window, a fluffy and healthy dog (which looked more beautiful than a Labrador) was sitting teary-eyed.
I rushed out, worried my landlady might object to the dog inside. Somehow sent him out. But, in 5mins, he was back. I had a strong feeling that he ran out of his home, and thoughts like, maybe his owners had beaten him, maybe they don’t treat him well, maybe he’s super hungry…
I couldn’t stop myself. So I quickly went out and bought a packet of brown bread and buttermilk from my last reserves of cash. When I gave him the food, he felt so good, and I couldn’t help but smile wide. It felt as if my hunger got satisfied seeing him eat.
And guess what!! He’s still outside my window. I guess now it’s time to look for his owners 😂
Seeing hunger get satiated can feel better than having the best food for yourself. 🙂
