During the pandemic, a few of us formed a group to chant in the evening. We have been doing chanting sessions for two years now.
Recently, I lost one of my close friends. Her family had come down for a month to sort out her belongings. It wasn’t going to be easy for them. So I decided to put the sessions on hold for the month and be there with them.
I feel praying for someone is very important but at the same time being with people in difficult times is also a service to God. I haven’t been able to do a lot for them and can never replace the sister they have lost, but they know they are not alone.
Takeaway
Being there for each other lifts the spirit- theirs and ours!
