My mother tested positive for Covid-19 recently while staying with me. She is isolated at my place and stable, doing good. But as per society rules, it’s impossible to mingle with others, though the rest of us tested negative.
My 9-year-old son, whose whole world revolves around his friends and playing with them ( as it is for most kids this age), had to stop going down to play. This he took very hard.
I wondered how to handle it: if I took my mother back to her place, there would be practical difficulties, but then my son would be free to play. My son understood the situation and told me it’s OK, he would not go down and that I should take care of my mom here itself.
I thought, isn’t this little one kind? After all, he had undergone a similar situation just a few months earlier when I was home quarantined.
My heart was filled with gratitude for this little one.🙂
Kindness of a near one can ease a difficult situation.
