There is an elderly woman who visits my parents house to provide massages for the seniors in the neighborhood. My parents live in a small town where even a 500-rupee almost $6 tip is considered a significant amount. During my recent visit, she stopped by. Although I didn’t require her services, I gave her 500 rupees and nice saree out of kindness. She was so humble that she hesitated to take it, saying, Why are you giving me so much? This is too much please, give me less.
I told her, This is nothing. I hope God blesses me with more, so that I can give you even more in the future. She began to cry, which truly touched my heart. Sometimes you meet people who, despite having very little, possess such incredible character living their lives with righteousness and dignity.
