Last winter, I went with my family to take a dip in the holy Narmada river early in the morning. It was exceptionally cold that day. We took some warm clothes to distribute to the needy ones. When we were distributing clothes, a few children came who used to beg there came. They all were barefoot.
We were shivering despite woollens and shoes, and it made my heart sink how those kids were managing in such weather. It was a secluded place with a few temporary shops, and we located a man selling slippers on the footpath. We purchased slippers and distributed them to the children. Their lit faces fill me with contentment even today.
A Rak can be done anytime, anywhere.
